These new designs build on those excellent fins by adding improved foils and new tips called the FLIPTWO.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003csection class=\"prose prose-hf-type w-auto h-auto mt-2 mb-0 ml-0 mr-0 pt-0 pb-0 pl-0 pr-0\" id=\"\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe primary driving force behind these fins is to deliver a design that behaves more like a \u003cstrong\u003ewing\u003c\/strong\u003e than your typical \"dolphin fin\" style surfboard fin. The XT2 templates have been slightly modified (From the XTC) at the base of the trailing edge in order to facilitate CNC machining the fins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike many modern wings, this design features a tip extension to enhance the fin's performance. This extension is flipped 12º to the outside and has a slight hollow foil on the inside face. The body of the fin also features a strong hollow foil. These fins are very efficient and fast, with a ton of drive. These improved flip tips are called the FLIPTWO. They also have the uncanny ability to help the board move through dead spots on the wave.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDue to their upright nature, they turn exceptionally well without losing speed through the turns. The tips play a crucial role in turning as they allow for the fin's transition during a turn. As the board is placed further on its rail, the tip of the fin becomes more vertical in the water, allowing it to create a pivot point. It's hard to describe but can be easily felt when using the fins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUsually the Quad set up is XT2 500 and XT2 425\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFor thruster set ups\u003c\/strong\u003e: the XT2-425 \/ F8-438C for a smaller, looser setup and the XT2-500 \/ F8-438C combo for much more drive and hold. Due to the shape of the center fin, it has a lot of hold when positioned further forward while still providing excellent turning ability due to the more upright nature of the fin's body.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese fins have been ridden on boards ranging from small performance boards, fishes and kneeboards to guns and towboards.
